It's been just over six months since the last adventure in my Circus Maximus series - Return of the Champion - came out and I'm delighted to report that my NEXT book, The Odyssey of Phoebe Quilliam, will be out in the autumn of 2025. It's a mythical time-slip adventure about a girl transported into a world that eerily resembles her favourite Greek myth, the story of Odysseus. For more info, see my Books page, but I promise monsters, an epic sea voyage, plenty of jeopardy and excitement, and I've even managed to sneak a horse in there with a nod to one of the equine characters in the Circus Maximus series. The cover, by Lilitt Wang, is a stunner, and I hope people will like what's inside. I'll be talking about the book in the context of a talk about Making Myths and Monsters at the Chalke Valley History Festival on Saturday 28th June so please do get tickets and come along!
