As I write, it's just a few days until book 2 in the Circus Maximus series, Rivals on the Track, launches on February 3rd. I got the amazing news a few days ago that the first book, Race to the Death, is on the 2022 longlist for the Branford Boase Award for debut children's authors and their editors. In my case, that means the incredible Fiona Kennedy of Zephyr (Head of Zeus) - the greatest wingwoman a writer could have. Meanwhile, there are lots of exciting events planned to launch book 2 into the world and I can't wait for people to find out what happens to Dido in her next adventure. Some great early reviews are already in (see Books page) and the book is featured in the January 29th edition of The Week Junior. I've been busy writing pieces and answering interview questions for a 10-stop blog tour starting on Monday 31st January, which you can follow on Twitter. And I've got plenty of in-person and online visits to schools from London to Salford to look forward to over the coming weeks, while on Saturday 5th February, I'll be signing books at Mr Bs Emporium and Toppings in Bath, with a visit to The Rocketship Bookshop in Salisbury to follow on Saturday 12th.
