Circus Maximus: Race to the Death was chosen by The Reader Teacher, Scott Evans, to be part of the Primary School Book Club vote on Twitter (in the end the very worthy winner was Elle McNicoll for Show Us Who You Are). Some more lovely reviews came in including from fellow MG author Ewa Jozefkowicz ('I would thoroughly recommend this wonderful story for fans of action and adventure. It really had me gripped...)and The Book Inspector ('brilliantly written and very easy to read...I can not wait for the next book in this series.') I did an interview on my Five Best Classics Books for the prestigious Five Books website. And finally, lockdown ended at last and I was able to go and visit my book out there in the real world of bookshops for the first time, with a first sighting in Daunt Books in London followed by my wonderful local The Rocketship Bookshop in Salisbury (picture).
