If you'd told me in late 2019 that within the next five years, I'd be the published author of four children's novels, I'd have grunted at you in an Eyoreish way and said 'fat chance.' That was before I met Fiona Kennedy and her wonderful Zephyr Books team, and now, here I am in the spring of 2024, putting the last editing touches to what will be the fourth (and final) adventure in the Circus Maximus series - Return of the Champion. It feels strange to know I'll be saying goodbye to Dido very soon and watching her and Porcellus canter off into the sunset. But I hope I've given her a fitting send-off and I'm so thrilled with the beautiful cover which has been designed this time by the insanely talented Robert Ball. In the meantime, a new writing chapter begins...I'm hard at work on a brand new middle-grade adventure which (so far) does not feature a single horse, Roman, chariot or insane emperor.
